If you give a mom like me a few minutes of quiet... she'll want to take a nap.

 If you give a mom like me a little time to nap... she'll realize how sleep deprived she is and she'll want to take a day off to herself. 

And if her family is brave enough to give her a day off to herself she will do fun things that she hasn't had time for in years, she will reminisce on her days before motherhood and wifedom, and pose a lot of "what if" questions... making her want her life back!!!

So... If you give a mom like me a few minutes of quiet, she might end up wanting to run for the hills!!!

Maybe thats why moms don't get any down time :-)

Week of Love Day 7 - Images of Love

This is the end of my Week of Love but the love I have for my family, friends and for life is never ending.  I hope that sharing the love I feel has inspired others to share their feelings of love, even if its just giving someone in their life an extra hug & kiss.

New Year New Healthy Snacks for my Family

I have a family full of grazers, meaning we love to snack all day long. But the problem with that is finding snacks that are tasty and good for you. Well, I think I've done it!! Week of Love Day 6 - Love for my Friends and Fans

In continuing with my Week of Love,  today I want to show some love and appreciation to all of the fans on the Shhhhh Just Between U & Me Facebook Fan page. Thank you for "Liking" my Shhhhh! I am grateful for all of you "Thumbs up" and comments. I would love to have all of you as a friend on my personal page. Week of Love Day 5 - A Love letter to my Sons

To my two little men, my lovers of all things related to super hero, I love you sooooo much!! I am amazed daily by the way you guys explore the world in a way that only boys do. I find it hilarious how you two interact with each other; and I love that no matter how often you bicker and fight, your brotherly love always prevails.  The love I have for each of you is unique and pure!!

Little Lo...my first born son, I love your imagination and inventiveness. You astound me daily with the things you build. I hope you hold on to that creativity and cleverness as you grow up.

To my Dimple boy, my last baby...we surely gave you the right name because you are definitely a little fire.  I love that you have so much fire and passion for everything. When you like something you want to totally immerse yourself in it and when you don't like something or are mad about something you have not problem showing it.

I am extremely proud of being your mother and I look forward to watching you guys grow, witnessing how your little personalities and opinions may change. But no matter how many years go by, how big each of you get, or how much you change individually... You both will always be my babies and I will continue to love you unconditionally.

Week of Love Day 4 - Love Letter to my Daughter

In keeping with this weeks Lovefest, today's love letter is to my Darling Daughter Lizzy. My first born, my baby girl, my mini me that's not so mini anymore... I love you so much and I am proud to be your mother!  You are beautiful and smart, spirited yet kind, bold & brave, strong yet sensitive, and creative & clever!!  You have so much to offer the world and can accomplish all of you goals if you continue to be the person you are. Your commitment and dedication to work and play (school & sports) will definitely help you go far.  I love your since of style and passion for music.  I admire your creativity and ingenuity!! You make and design fashions that I would have never been able to come up with. Lastly I love your commitment to family and friends.  You understand that close relationships are important and that's something that a lot of adults don't realize.  All of these qualities make you an amazing young lady and if you keep on this path you will reach heights in your life that you never thought possible.

You are the part of me that I didn't know was missing. You are my best friend, the love of my life, and my soul mate!!  I knew from the very beginning that you were the one!!  You are an amazing man and an awesome husband & father.  I am proud to be your wife and the mother of your children! 
You have taken my life to new levels, inspired me and helped me to realize and utilize my inner strength. My love for you has grown over the year to a point of inseparability.  I want only to be with you and share everything with you.  You have supported me, unwavering  throughout my time in school, and I thank you for that.  I also thank you for you commitment to this marriage and the constant work involved in keeping it going strong.  You are the Homer to my Marge, the Peter to my Lois and like with every cartoon love I will continue to love you no matter what!

Week of Love Day 2 - The way I love me!

Today is all about the love I have for myself, It's a Love Letter to me from me!  So here it goes.... First and foremost what really matters is, I love the strength & will power (God given of course) that I have and use daily to endure the trials and tribulations of life. This strength has helped me through teen parent hood, college, and many jobs. Having and utilizing this strength & willpower has given me confidence to continuously pursue happiness and to find my passion.
Now, when it comes to more physical things... I love they way I stay true to my own style, as weird as it may be!!! Liking what I like, wearing what I want and never wavering because of ever changing fashion trends.  I adore my size,  my shape (or lack thereof). My super skinny frame is something coveted by women all over the world and its the way I am naturally.  30 years and 3 kids later I proudly wear a size 1!! I love my hair! My soft, curly, and long hair; with a little care it bounces, behaves, and gleams in the light. Leaving it natural has been truly rewarding & empowering.  
I love who I am. I'm not perfect but I am continuously trying to better myself and become the best me that I can be!

Week of Love - Day 1

Valentines Day is this week and I'm taking a que from Yolanda Shoshana of the Modern courtesan Magazine and her Lovefest Challenge, that dares, no double dares the participant to love life and the people in it.  Valentine's Day is the one day of the year when most people openly profess their love for one another.  I try to show my family I love them everyday, and not just one day out of the year.  But it is nice to do something special for your loved ones on Valentine's Day (Love Day as the kids call it). So, this week is going to be my "Week of Love"!! Each day I will dedicate a post to each member of my wonderful household, including myself because if I don't love me how can anyone else love me. So join me all this week in celebrating the love!!

Me Time

Like most moms I'm constantly busy with endless household duties, motherly & wifely responsibilities, plus I have school and my blog. Trying to keep up with all these things often leave me feeling drained and frazzled! I constantly struggle with putting myself first and I'm currently reading another book (Fit Moms for Life, that I won as a part of a Planet Weidknecht giveaway), that says that in order to be a better happier me for my family I need more "Me Time".   This means regularly...30-45mins most days of the week (or more if I can spare it). So I made time for me today, and what did do... You know it =) Mani Pedi Me Time!!!!! 

 The product of choice is Sally Hansen, of Course!!

The base coat and Top coat both in contain acrylic gel + nylon.  These ingredients are suppose to help prevent chipping and make the mani or pedi last longer, we'll see about that!!

All in all I love this weeks color choice and even if the new base and top coats don't do what they are suppose to... at least it starts off looking super smooth & shiny like it was professionally done. 

It was Me Time well spent!!
