A Just Between U & Me K.I.S.S moment...

I love nail polish!! (as you may already know) There's nothing like a new nail polish color to brighten up an otherwise dreary day. Its seems like lots of other people love nail polish also...and that love for nail polish and nail art is taking over!! I follow lots of people on instagram that post pictures of super creative (assuredly painstaking and time consuming) little works of art on their finger tips. I'm always in awe of the skill, creativity and patience they must have...but when it comes to my nails I stick with the K.I.S.S method.

I'm not even going to attempt to do all that Sugar Honey Ice Tea to my nails!! I'm happy with my super bright colors, occasional two color patterns, and sparkles, sparkles, and more sparkles!!

Taking back my blog!

For I while i'd kind of lost sight of why i started this blog. I got lost in trying to be like other bloggers. I was so captivated by potential for growth and recognition that I started to focus on things that I had no passion for. I worried so much about page views and increasing subscribers (only to have them unsubscribe later) that I signed up for things solely to gain numbers. I felt like I had to giveaway something to get people interested and I had to immerse myself in the blogosphere regularly in order to stay on top of what's the right thing to do.  None of that was fun and it was stressful and made me lose my love for blogging. So of course when I'm not having fun I quit...and that's why I haven't posted anything in months. But I'm now ready to take back my blog. I have to Feel Free 2 B Me and do what I wanna do and say what I wanna say, for the love of it and not to be like anyone else.
If you already follow this blog via blogger, twitter, Facebook, email, etc congratulations (you will be rewarded for it with a better chance of winning the stuff I do giveaway) and Thank you because I will not be actively seeking out new reader anymore. If new readers/ followers find me of course I will be grateful and happy for the attention but for now on I will blogging for the sake of getting my thoughts and feelings out. After all My Shhhhh was just supposed to be a place for me to share my brand of crazy with the world and that's what I'm taking it back to!!

The complaints will commence now...

Why is it that everyone gets to complain about their job but Domestic Engineers (a.k.a stay at home moms) are supposed to be so honored and feel so privileged to have the opportunity, the ability to stay at home (which is a lie cause I'm always ripping and running and playing taxi driver) to slave away for our family members... for no pay or vacation time. Well,  I'm here to say that's some BS! I have a right to complain just as much if not more than those who leave their homes to go to their "job".

So here it goes...

I hate my job!!! Nothing about it screams fun and excitement. I wake up early every morning and go to bed late every night for other people...to make sure things get done for other people. My supervisor (my husband) expects way to much of me, bordering on perfection. My subordinates (my children) are very difficult to work with and rarely complete tasks assigned to them without complaint or the need of assistance...making more work for me. My obligation to my job leaves me feeling guilty when I take time out for myself.  When I do take time out to do things I enjoy I return only to have twice as much work to do because everyone around me is guilty of "that's not my job syndrome" and never to anything  without being asked or told. 

Don't get me wrong...just like any job it has its moments that are not so horrible. I love my family! We laugh and joke and share good times, I just wish they didn't work me like a slave in between those good times. 

Ok... I guess I'm done for now. Hopefully that little rant was all I needed to keep going a little longer.

Dear Hoodie Jackets,
You make me feel so safe and warm like a baby's blanket. You are a true friend...always there for me when the wind blows hard or a single chill creeps up my spine. Your vast array of colors and styles make it easy for me to incorporate you into an outfit almost everyday... and when I can't wear you for whatever reason I long for the comfort and protection you provide my neck, head, and ears from the elements.
